We have pioneered a process known as Asset Management which is an engineering process for used Original Equipment parts. The meticulous focus on inspection, measurement and quality control before manufacturing the reconditioned assembly ensures the reconditioned part is fit for re-use with the same quality expectation as the equivalent new part, but at a reduced cost.

Our industry recognised Asset Management process has a reputation for quality, cost savings and environmental benefits and is long-established. These parts are used by our own Hobson Industries vehicle refurbishment team as well as private customers and high-end restoration companies.

Obsolescence management for Land Rover parts involves a proactive approach to maintaining and sourcing parts that may no longer be readily available due product discontinuation. By managing obsolescence internally, Hobson Industries can ensure that older Land Rovers, remain functional and serviceable over the long term. This process typically includes identifying critical parts that are at risk of becoming obsolete and establishing partnerships with manufacturers to continue production. The goal is to mitigate the risk of parts shortages and avoid disruptions in vehicle repairs and maintenance, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle longevity.

Hobson Industries also involve reverse engineering or remanufacturing components to maintain the availability of essential parts. We also collaborate with third-party suppliers or even introduce aftermarket solutions to keep vehicles operational, alternatively we can use Asset Management to achieve this as well. By continuously monitoring the lifecycle of parts and making strategic decisions about their availability, we are able to enhance its service offerings and minimize downtime for customers in need of replacement parts.
